School

The 4 older girls at the shelter: Gan, Yooie, Ning and Fon ages 12-14 attend a local district school. Their tuition is paid for by the shelter.  They walk or ride a bicycle about ½ mile each direction to get there. An educational curriculum is taught including English classes. Uniforms are required to be worn which are purchased by the shelter. The standard red uniform is worn Monday-Wednesday, the green “scout/helping” uniform on Thursdays and traditional Thai dress on Fridays.

The 2 younger children also attend a local school.
